At LCCU, our success is driven by a team that includes dedicated and dynamic volunteers. Our volunteers thrive on delivering member-driven service and enhancing the member experience and they play an important role in our day-to-day operations.
We’re always looking for dedicated volunteers to help in a variety of capacities including community outreach, customer service and at the Board or Committee level.
We are always looking for skilled volunteers to assist with the day-to-day running of the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on skills and work experience while working towards gaining recognised NVQ qualification Level 2 or 3 in Business Administration and Customer Service.
Volunteers will be asked to commit at least 3 days a week, and will be given a ‘branch buddy’ within the Credit Union.
In the community
Workplace Champions help promote the credit union within the workplace while building links between the organisations. This is a very flexible role, supported by Credit Union staff.
On the committees
The credit union is governed by a series of voluntary committees, from the Credit Committee to the Board of Directors. These committees monitor the operations of the Credit Union, develop strategic directors for its growth and development and work with the management, in developing policies for controlling the business environment.
Becoming a volunteer
Whether you’re serving on our credit union’s Board of Directors, or working the floor greeting members, volunteering can be an extremely rewarding experience. Read more about how to get involved here.
To volunteer for a Board and Committee position, you must be a member in good standing and can apply by completing a nomination form and submitting it to our Board Administrator or to your nearest branch.
If you are interested in the other volunteering opportunities, you could email our Community Relations Manager with a C.V. and cover letter, or you can complete one of our “Invest in Yourself”.
